Senior Sales Engineer

This is a pro-active sales role with a high degree of independency, a need for being selfdriven, and to have the ability to prioritise tasks and customers.
Further, the candidate needs to have a professional appearance, to be forward leaning and fearless in seeking new opportunities in addition to be a good relationship builder.
The position plays an important role in developing Norwegian Piping’s business in the Norwegian market in particular. Job location Stavanger or Bergen.
 

Job description

  • Responsible for pro-active sales and marketing targeting mainly the Norwegian market
  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new customers, predominantly within the oil and gas sector, through frequent customer visits and interaction
  • Closely follow-up bids and clarifications with customers
  • Maintain and improve sales tools, presentation/marketing material and sales plans
  • Sales budgeting and reporting responsibility for designated market
  • Participate in and perform bid preparation and order handling as deemed necessary
  • Participate in relevant trade shows/exhibitions and actively engage in preparation thereof
 

Qualifications

  • Technical education at engineer level
  • Education and/or training in sales is preferred
  • Good knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Relevant experience within the product groups is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Good understanding of the supplier network
  • Good oral and written communication skills, both in English and Norwegian
