Norwegian Piping wins contract for Ichthys LNG project

January, 2013: Norwegian Piping has won the contract for supply of pipe, fittings and flanges to the FPSO for the Ichthys project offshore Australia.
The award from the major Korean contractor DSME is Norwegian Piping’s the second large contract win towards Australian projects in less than a year.

The Ichthys LNG Project, operated by Inpex, is ranked among the most significant oil and gas projects in the world. The field is located offshore Western Australia and the project include offshore facilities, an onshore processing facility and a close to 900 kilometer pipeline.

Norwegian Piping will supply 2,000 tons of duplex, superduplex, hasteloy, inconel and cladded items, as well as complete scope of pipe, fittings and flanges.

The contract award is a further testimonial of Norwegian Piping’s ability to compete and gain foothold in the global piping supply market.
